City Colleges of Chicago Foundation
Support COVID-19 Student Relief Funds
City Colleges of Chicago Foundation is working to raise emergency funds to support our student body through the COVID-19 crisis. The following priority requests draw on where contributions can deliver the greatest impact. Without this support, our students who were already struggling will face insurmountable barriers meeting their academic, career, and life goals.
For context, before the COVID-19 crisis, 16,000 CCC students self-paid, meaning they did not have access to financial aid. Forty-five percent of student survey respondents reported food insecurity, 28% were not able to make full rent or mortgage payments in any given month, and 27% could not afford their utilities—yet they ALL wanted to continue or complete their education/credential.
100% of the funds raised for this crisis will directly support CCC students.

City Colleges of Chicago COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund at All Chicago
The City Colleges of Chicago COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund is intended to help students in need. CCC students are also parents, caregivers, and employees and represent a significant part of the workforce in the city of Chicago. Weeks without income will have a devastating and lasting effect on their lives; they are anxious and uncertain about the future, and they need support.
A gift to this fund will provide direct support to our most vulnerable students. Our partner All Chicago will disburse the funds directly to CCC students. Any part-time or full-time CCC student is eligible to access up to $750 once per semester.
Gifts to the fund will provide direct and emergency support to cover expenses for food, utilities, supplies, medicine, and more. Clicking below will redirect you to All Chicago to contribute to the City Colleges of Chicago COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund.
City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor’s Retention Stimulus Fund
We anticipate that the COVID-19 crisis will amplify the existing challenges CCC students persist to overcome.
CCC students need incentives to stay enrolled and persist this semester and future semesters after COVID-19. Toward that end, the Chancellor’s Retention Fund dollars will enable CCC to offer creative, responsive, and flexible support designed in real time to help CCC students across the finish line.
Contributions to this fund are directly applied to student accounts to either pay for existing classes, when they are carrying debt, or help incentivize and support students to register for upcoming semesters.
By making a gift to this fund, students that stay enrolled at City Colleges of Chicago will be able to access the wide range of student resources and complete their credentials without barriers and empower them to thrive both in the short and long term.

COVID-19 Student Emergency Remote Learning Assistance Fund
City Colleges of Chicago transitioned to remote learning on Monday, March 23, 2020. Gifts to this fund will help support City Colleges students without laptops and/or access to Wi-Fi for online learning.
CCC alumni, Chicago businesses, and the community at large have asked how they can help support students who have been affected by this abrupt transition related to COVID-19.
As a result, City Colleges of Chicago Foundation has created the COVID-19 Student Emergency Remote Learning Assistance Fund. This fund will not only provide students with direct access to technology to complete coursework, but it also supports the distribution of the technology directly to students in need.
